The Vineyard Retreat is located in Blewitt Springs in the McLaren Vale wine region, approximately 50 minutes south of Adelaide. Our six Vineyard guest houses are set across a 15-acre working vineyard, while Main Street Retreat is approximately three kilometres away in the village of McLaren Flat.
The Vineyard in Blewitt Springs has six private guest houses set among the vines, with access to our guest wellness area including sauna, cold plunge and Jacuzzi.
Main Street Retreat offers two private one-bedroom guest houses, The Catalina and The Hermosa, in the heart of McLaren Flat. Main Street Retreat is a separate guest experience and does not include access to The Vineyard or its wellness facilities.
There are eight private guest houses across two locations. Six are located at The Vineyard in Blewitt Springs and two, The Catalina and The Hermosa, are located at Main Street Retreat in McLaren Flat.
The Vineyard guest houses are positioned approximately 80 metres from their nearest neighbouring guest house, providing plenty of privacy while remaining within the same 15-acre property.
Each has a different outlook across the vineyard and surrounding landscape. The Highland and The Manhattan look east across the vines towards the Willunga hills, while The Ardmore has a north-westerly outlook and The Strand looks south and west across the vines, gardens and lawns.
The Highland and The Manhattan each have two king bedrooms with their own private ensuites, making them particularly well suited to two couples travelling together.
The Strand has been thoughtfully designed with wider openings and an accessible kitchen and bathroom. Guests with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can make sure the accommodation is suitable for their needs.
Yes. Guests staying at The Vineyard in Blewitt Springs have access to our wellness area, located at the highest point of the property with views across the vines, Willunga hills, d’Arenberg Cube and Gulf St Vincent.
The wellness area includes a sauna, cold plunge and Jacuzzi. Main Street Retreat guests do not have access to The Vineyard wellness facilities.
Yes. All stays include locally sourced breakfast provisions for guests to prepare and enjoy at their leisure.
Vineyard guest houses also include a complimentary minibar, with quantities tailored to the length of your stay. Main Street Retreat includes breakfast provisions and a welcome selection of wine, snacks and drinks.
We can make limited substitutions to the provisions supplied, including alternative milk and gluten-free bread, when requested at the time of booking.

No. Our guest houses are designed to offer privacy and are not serviced daily.
For stays of four nights or more, a mid-stay service is included, with the guest house refreshed and provisions and minibar replenished where applicable.
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is by 10.30 am.
On the day of arrival, guests receive an access code for the keypad at their guest house. Full arrival instructions are provided before check-in.
We are generally unable to offer early check-in as our team needs sufficient time to prepare each guest house to the required standard between stays.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a secure luggage storage area, so luggage cannot be dropped at the property before check-in.
Cancellation and date-change conditions depend on the terms of your booking. Where possible, we will make every effort to rebook cancelled dates.
Please refer to the cancellation conditions provided when booking for the terms that apply to your reservation. We also recommend travel insurance for unexpected changes to your plans.
Minimum-stay requirements vary depending on the guest house, season and booking dates. Please check availability online for the dates you are considering.
Only registered guests are permitted to use the property and guest facilities. Visitors who are not included in the accommodation booking are not permitted without prior approval.
Transport providers, approved tour operators and pre-arranged service providers may access the property where required.
The Vineyard is generally peaceful and private, however it is also a working vineyard.
At certain times of year, particularly during vintage, you may see vineyard staff or hear machinery operating for short periods. Harvest in McLaren Vale generally takes place during late summer and autumn, depending on the season.
The Vineyard is approximately eight minutes by car from McLaren Vale township and around two minutes from McLaren Flat. Willunga and the coast are approximately 15 minutes away.
Adelaide CBD and Adelaide Airport are approximately 50 minutes away, depending on traffic.
Yes. The Vineyard Retreat is surrounded by many of McLaren Vale’s cellar doors, restaurants, breweries and local producers.

McLaren Flat is approximately two minutes from The Vineyard and also has a local bakery – The General Store.
Yes, children can stay in selected guest houses and must be supervised at all times.
The Highland is not suitable for children aged between one and eight years. We recommend contacting us before booking if you are travelling with younger children so we can help you choose the most suitable guest house.
No. Pets are not permitted at The Vineyard Retreat.
